This page describes, in plain language, what actually happens when you use Sogo Beans & Boards's website. It is not a legal document — just an honest account of what we collect, why, and where it goes.

What we collect, and why

The contact form and the events enquiry form only ask for what they need to get back to you: your name, email, phone number if you give it, and whatever you write about your event or question. Those forms are delivered by a service called Web3Forms, which emails the submission straight to the shop's inbox. We don't store submissions in a database of our own — they arrive as an email, the same way a message to us always would.

If you sign up for our email list — the newsletter signup or the back-garden tap bar waitlist — your email address is added to our mailing list through Klaviyo, the email service we use to send updates. You're subscribed as soon as you sign up (single opt-in), and every email we send has an unsubscribe link.

What we don't do

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this site — no Google Analytics, no Meta/Facebook Pixel, no ad retargeting scripts of any kind. We don't sell or share your information with advertisers, because there's nothing being collected to sell.

Embeds from other services

A few things on this site are loaded from outside services, each doing exactly one job:

• Our Instagram feed on the homepage is pulled in by a service called LightWidget, which loads posts directly from Instagram.
• The map showing our location is an embedded Google Maps iframe.

Loading these embeds may let those services (Instagram/Meta, Google) know your browser visited a page that includes them — that's a normal part of how embedded content works on the web, and it's between you and those services, not something we control or see.

Where this site lives

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a static hosting provider. Loading any page on this site means your browser makes a request to Cloudflare's servers, the same as visiting any website.
