We want everyone who visits this site to be able to find our hours, read the menu, and get in touch — regardless of how they browse. Here's what's actually built in.
Keyboard and screen readers
There's a "skip to content" link at the very start of every page for anyone navigating by keyboard, so you can jump straight past the header. Every interactive element — links, buttons, form fields — shows a visible focus outline when you tab to it; we never strip that outline. Headings are structured so a screen reader can jump between sections in order, and things like the hours table and the shop address use proper semantic markup (a real table with a caption, a real `
` element) instead of plain styled text.Motion
Animations and transitions on this site respect your device's "reduce motion" setting. If you have that turned on in your operating system, decorative motion is reduced or removed automatically.
Colour and contrast
The site's colour palette was chosen and checked for contrast: body text and headings are set in colours that meet accessible contrast levels against their backgrounds. Our light wood tone is used only as a fill or background — never as text color on its own — because it doesn't have enough contrast to read reliably as text.
Images
Photos across the site include alt text describing what's in them, so they make sense if you're using a screen reader or if images fail to load.
