Our Mexico Chiapas MAYA CAFÉ is sourced from a cooperative in the southern highlands of Chiapas, a region known for its rich ecological significance. This area hosts two of the most intricate and breathtaking ecosystems in the world: the Cloud Forest and the Tropical Rainforest.

These unique ecosystems are home to numerous rare and endangered plant and animal species. The cooperative members are deeply committed to sustainable farming practices that help protect the Biosphere and prevent agriculture from disturbing its natural resources.

The coffees is sourced from this cooperative come exclusively from 100% women-owned farms, part of the Café Femenino program. Many of the women in this region are descendants of the ancient Mayan Mam culture, though few today still speak the Mame language.
